TRAINING SERVICES

Training styles for every dog...

It’s A Dog’s Life Resort & Spa offers training services from our partner Meraki K9 – owned and operated by Alexa White. Alexa has been in this industry for over 12 years and holds a multitude of training certifications.

She has completed the Top Tier K9 Pet Training Program and Working Dog Program. She also earned my Pet Training Certificate and Working Dog Certificate under the guidance of some of the most elite dog trainers in the country. Her other experiences with dogs include working as an AKC Registered Apprentice professionally showing dogs in conformation, working at multiple boarding facilities and grooming salons, and competing with her own dogs in conformation shows and obedience trials.

Meraki is a Greek word meaning to do something with soul, creativity, or love; to put something of yourself into your work. Training dogs requires a great deal of creativity, love, and patience, which is why I feel like the word meraki is perfectly suited for the name of my company.

In Alexa's own words:  "I have been seriously involved with dogs since 2008. I have completed the Top Tier K9 Pet Training Program and Working Dog Program. I also earned my Pet Training Certificate and Working Dog Certificate under the guidance of some of the best dog trainers in the country. My other experiences with dogs include working as an AKC Registered Apprentice professionally showing dogs in conformation, working at multiple boarding facilities and grooming salons, and competing with my dogs in conformation shows and obedience trials. "
